Michele Gheradi (1839-1904)

A detailed 19th Century Death Mask by Gheradi of Paris. Gheradi’s workshop was located at 43 Rue de Constantinople, and was renowned as a leading workshop of art and plaster moulding at that time.

A very fine quality death mask, in superb condition, with just a slight loss above the eye. The expression and detail is captivating, and the plaster being very lightweight considering its size. It has the original loop to the reverse.
