Rare Trilobate Arrowhead, lodged in a Human Fibula Bone, in Museum Case

This unique fibula bone, from the back of the lower leg, has a Trilobate Arrowhead (300-400 BC) embedded within the bone. Housed within an elegant Late 19th Century glazed case. It is also lined inside with sheep’s wool from the same period.

Once part pf a Museum collection, it has a slightly damaged label affixed to the top left corner of the glazing, with the numbers featured ‘14.1’. The glazed lid can be lifted off to open, but also has a strong connection when closed shut. A small loop has been added to the case, to allow it to be easily hung. It could also be displayed and presented flat.

The bone is quite fragile considering its age, but it is still possible to handle with care.

Measurements: Case, 37cm x 9cm. Bone, 33.5cm long. Arrowhead, 2cm long.
